Snow ......

Good Morning all....Yes we woke up to a blanket of snow this morning and its still snowing.....Yuckky..............lol..I thought we were not quite done with winter but just maybe some cold weather yet...It was definitely too nice too soon...But snow....Oh well..I always say...That the north for you..Unpredictable...Heres a pic of out our front door... Beautiful.....Maybe for January....lol

Well not much we can do but hope it melts soon...lol..We are in for some normal temperatures later this week...About 15...That is more common for this time of the year here...I have a few pictures of the kids being goofy with the Mr Potato head glasses...They thought it was hilarious to wear the little blue glasses around....

And this one is of Jesse driving his tractor around the lawn last week in the beautiful weather we were having....He looks just like a little farmer..
Rubber boots and all.....lol....Too cute...Well that's about all new here in the North...We headed to the Powassan Maple syrup festival on Saturday...It rained on and off but was still very packed...There is logging and chainsaw competitions , horse and buggy rides, vendors selling baked goods, crafts etc...and of course Maple Syrup....Was a nice afternoon...We got a little wet but the boys did not mind a bit...lol...Well until next time....The Dehaans...

Back to normal temperatures

Hello all..It has been a while...The past few weeks have just flown by and been busy...It was absolutely beautiful here last week a few days reaching 25 degrees..The kids played outside in shorts and rubber boots..How cute...lol..But it was just a little tease..It is about 10 today and back to normal weather for this time of the year..This week actually they are calling for rain/snow flurries and about 1 degree....BRRRRR...Oh well it was too good to be true this early..lol...Maybe the the snow will kill off the black flies for the season....lol...Probably not...We were hit with a terrible flu bug the beginning of last week...Jesse and I got it the worst and Daddy and Owie were ok...No fun...My weekend away with the girls was awesome...We went out for supper and did some shopping and visited with old friends...It was so nice ....It was good to get home to my hubby and the boys though..Missed them...So that's about all new here...The snow is all melted and now for some Spring cleaning is needed...All the things that get buried under the snow for the winter....We hope to do some more work on our house this summer...get some grass seed planted and some new siding on the house...Always lots of projects on the go..Please keep in your prayers our friends the Tuiningas as they are still in Africa waiting for some paperwork to be done to bring their babies home...It is my good friend Beths sister and hubby...They have adopted two precious babies from Uganda...Well until next time....Take care....

Spring is in the air..

Good day all...It is a bright and sunny +1 here today...We had some white stuff on the weekend but it has now melted...It looked more like January than April...But it can be so unpredictable this time of the year...But we are in for some very nice weather this week...+14 on Wednesday...Spring like weather...And MUD...!!!..It was starting to dry up some but with all the snow melting it is very muddy again...And our water is a little brown..We have to do something this summer about that...I think we are going to have to drill a well....We have a dug well now and with all the frost coming out of the ground and the snow melting and rain ..Our water is a little BROWN....lol...YUCK...But we are keeping the Spring Water companies in business that's for sure...So I am leaving all the boys..lol...Including Daddy on Friday for my girls weekend....Looking so forward to it ..But will miss my men...The boys will have a great time with Daddy...Well a busy week ahead ...So take care have a great week and talk to you all real soon.....Hugs....Until next time...

More snow...!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Afternoon..We here in the north are in for about 5-10 cms of snow starting tonight and tomorrow....Yuck....!!!!!!!lol...Well we have been having such nice weather lately and everything has been drying up nicely and now SNOW..Oh well that's all part of living up north..At least it will not last too long and its getting to the end of it...Hopefully...Although we did have snow in June last year.. That got rid of those pesky black flies in a hurry that's for sure...I am on a count down to my girls weekend away...I am going to Southern Ontario to visit some friends and Daddy and the boys are looking after the house for the weekend...I am looking so forward to seeing some old friends and going shopping ( for the boys and Daddy of course...)..Can not wait to go to Old Navy...Just love that store for the boys and we do not have one up here...So it is a real treat...And we are going out for dinner with some good friends...Just a real girly weekend...My hubby likes his fishing and hunting ...Not really shopping and stuff...So Momma gets her fix ...lol...i had the boys outside to play this week...It was +12 one day ...but it is really really wet and muddy...We were out for an hour and Owie did good until he fell face first into a big puddle and was drenched from head to toe...literally...So we then came in for supper...lol..But soon..We can play outside everyday...The boys just LOVE it so much...Even with him being soaking wet ..Owen did not want to come in....Jesse LOVES to play outside too...He just has a grin from ear to ear when he can be outside...The fresh air is so good for them and to be physically active...Well that's about all new here...We wanted to wish our friends the Tuiningas a blessed time while they are in Africa..They are going to pick up their two children they adopted...Wishing you all a safe trip and God Bless you as you begin your journey....Until next time....

Busy place around here.....

Hello all...Do you ever have one of those weeks where you seem like there is always something to do and somewhere to go every day...!!!..Or it seems that way anyways....lol...We have just been busy ..Our acreage is currently on hold..It got amended until August 6th..The seller has some more things to do at the town to sever the acres from his own..So we pushed the date ahead until August...We have waited a while so a little longer will not be too bad.....:)..But yes just lawyers appointments and banks and etc...That can take up time and I have been getting our books ready for the accountant....My most dreaded job of the year...I am finally done...I do keep good records through out the year ..But its just the sorting and such..Oh well its done and I am off to the accountant later today to drop them off....We are hosting our Pastor from Michigan this weekend...Just him and his son will be here...Then in two weeks Momma is off down South for a fun filled girls weekend.....Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!...Looking very forward to that..Going to visit some friends and go shopping and out for dinner...The boys ( all three)..lol..Are at home for the weekend...Well ice fishing is officially over ...My hubby is sad but has been working very hard cutting firewood to fill his days before his busy work season starts...He very much enjoys the outdoors...Any season....And I also like the outdoors...My boys LOVE to play outside as well...So lets hurry along to summer and bypass the mud....lol...Well that's about all new with the Dehaans this week...Until next time.....
