Owens 2nd Birthday...!!!!

Good Day all....Wanted to wish my baby( not such a baby anymore)...A Very Happy Birthday...2 years old already...How time flies.

We are having a combined Birthday party for Jesse and Owen in July...Jesses birthday is in three weeks from now...And he will be 4...My two little men... Well we had a busy but great weekend in Southern Ontario..We went to Carolyn and Grants buck and doe..It was alot of fun ..Lots of people ...Good food and good friends....We stayed with our good friends Heather and Richard...The kids had a blast playing with their kids and had lots of fun...!!!..It is a about 18 dgrees here and has been raining on and off all morning...Supposed to get nicer this week and get warmer....That is enough rain for now...Everything has not had a chance to dry up ....Some patches I still can not cut with the mower as its just too wet yet...Crazy eh...And its July 1st tomorrow...Speaking of that Wishing everyone a Happy Canada Day...Hope you are enjoying the holiday....Until next time..

Rainy days....

Good Morning to you all...It is overcast and threatening thundershowers today...We have had rain almost every day for about 2 weeks now....It was sunny Saturday and Sunday but it did rain at some point during the day....Everything is green and lush that's for sure....Including the grass...I was cutting grass dodging rain drops on Saturday but it so needed to be cut...I did get most done...But there is still some spots where I have not even cut it yet because it is so wet....Oh well when we are in the heat of July we will be wishing for rain....:)...Not too much new in the North...We are heading to Southern Ontario for our good friends Carolyn and Grants Buck and Doe....Can not wait ..Should be a fun time...Wanted to Congratulate our friends Christine and Ryan Hawley (Miriams sister and husband) on the birth of their baby boy Keith...He was born yesterday morning...Also wanted to wish Beth a GREAT week and her sisters ..Hope you have a wonderful time ....!!!!!!..Will is busy busy busy with work...And the rain has not been co-operating...Yes he has a busy summer planned....That's great...!!!Got to make hay well the sun shines...Everyone here pretty much hibernates in the winter....lol..And ice fishes...:)..So yes winters are slow...Will was able to keep busy last winter doing odd jobs ...Which was really good...So that's about all new with us....Hope you all have a great week and talk to you soon.....Until next time..

Camping and summer fun.....

Good day all....It is a beautiful 22 here and sunny..The kids have been outside playing all day...We went to Barrie KOA camping this past weekend...Well we were cottaging actually..They call them camping cottages...Basically just beds....No washrooms or kitchen etc....The cottages were very close to the main washroom...It was a really nice park..It had a really nice playground for the kids and two heated pools ...We went with a group of 27 people...7 families...It was a blast the kids had so much fun playing with all the other kids...They divide up the meals so we were teamed up with another family for Saturday morning breakfast ..So we had to bring enough for everybody but then all the rest of our meals were provided....It was a great way to do things..We had a really great time and hope to go again next year...!!!!..Want to congratulate our friends Ron and Angela with the birth of their baby boy Kolby....He was born on Saturday morning...And want to wish our friend Richard a belated 30th Birthday....Hope you had a great day and great party...!!!!..Well I tried to upload some photos but its not co-operating tonight..Will try and post them tomorrow....Until then..Take care and goodnight...

Summer is here

Good Morning ....Hope all is well...It is about 20 here today and overcast and raining..A little relief from the very humid weather we were having last week and on the weekend...We just go from 18 to 30 in one day...A bit of a shock to the system...lol...Oh well I am glad summer is here finally...The humidity can go but the sunshine can stay....We got our vegetable garden all planted and there are some things sprouting already...Along with the weeds..Between weeding and chicken duties and grass cutting ..Momma is a busy gal...That's ok...I am heading to Barrie this weekend to go cottaging with some friends....We are at the KOA ..I have never been but they have these cute little log cabins ....Should be fun...The boys will love being outdoors ...Wanted to mention a very special lady today....Our friend Miriam..She is in the hospital right now having surgery..Please pray for her for a safe operation and fast recovery...Have a great day and until next time....

Our Chickies have arrived....

Hello all....It was a beautiful 22 degrees yesterday and looking warmer for today...Still nasty black flies but soon to be over...!!..We got the vegetable garden all planted....We are going to have ALOT of veggies when everything starts to grow...Now just to weed it....That will be the challenge...Out first year with a full garden...We tried about 5 things the first year we moved here but the weeds took over and we just did not have time...I did pickle cucumbers that year...Apparently they are hearty...lol..We also got our chickens yesterday...And 4 turkeys...They are so cute when they are little ..Here is Owen checking them out...He thought they were quite interesting...He kept wanting to touch them ....They are so soft....

I do not mind to look after them now but when they get big and start to peck...Will looks after them....lol..I think this year Owen will be quite interested in them he loves animals of any kind....Jesse held one yesterday too...He was not quite sure what this squirmy thing was ...lol..Well that's about all new int he North for now....Today is grass cutting definitely with a bug net on as they are just swarming out there already at 7am ...Will is framing a house in Astorville and it is in the bush...He said they are going to be bad....No Fun....Well hope you all have a GREAT day....Until next time....

Its has been a while...

Hello all...It was a beautiful 20 degrees here today ...And the black flies were absolutely horrible...Will was trying to plant the garden today and he did have to resort to wearing a bug jacket and he never has to wear a bug jacket ...So they were BAD....lol..But we got about 5-6 rows planted before it began to rain...It has been a while...It was a busy week last week...Owen was sick with an upset stomach and then it turned into an ear infection..So he was not happy for a few days...But we took him to the doctor and we got some antibiotics..So he was much better...I also headed to Southern Ontario for a surprise shower for my friend Carolyn ....It was alot of fun and definitely a surprise...She had no idea !!!!..We had a really nice visit ..Thanks Wim and Janet for your warm hospitality....Well I am sorry it is short and sweet tonight but it is time for Momma to get some ZZZZZS...But will post more soon.....Until next time...
