A beautiful day and bug jackets

Good evening all....As I posted earlier it was just so nice today..We got all the grass cut..I pushed that lawnmower for 2 hours ..I am pooped....:)..The boys had a blast playing outside (with their bug suits on...lol)..Even Owen got up from his nap and went to the coat rack and pointed to his bug jacket...He wore it no problem...Momma too...Daddy does not seem to be bothered by them little critters and Owen actually ..He has a few bites but not swollen at all...Jesse on the other hand is so swollen ..Poor little guy...I put lots of ointment on him tonight after his bath..Hopefully the swelling goes down( its mostly his ear)...Here is a few pics of our nice sunshiny day....

Sunny days and black flies....

Good morning all....It is a beautiful 21 degrees here today and warm...But..............The black flies are out in FULL FORCE....Jesse was out for about 10 minutes yesterday without a bug net and he had about 15 bites...They are pesky little things...So today we wear bug nets...Owen has never worn one before so we will see how that goes...The only down fall is the nets are so hot....I sometimes just put them on over the boys bare belly ..They are uv protection as well...So at least they are not too hot..And shorts and rubber boots ..how cute...lol..I will take some pictures and post them in their gear...!!Well time to cut some grass ..We have not cut it yet ..It has been so wet all week and rained all last weekend...So it is a bit of a hay field as my hubby would say....So hope that you all have a great sunshiny black fly free day....lol...Until next time...

Jesses First Day of Pre-school

Good evening all...It is rainy and cool here ..A high of about 8 today...But going to get nicer by the weekend ...They are forecasting 21 on Saturday and Sunday....Yeah!!!!..Some nice weather...Well today was Jesse's very first day of pre-school...I drove him in and we got there and hung up his coat and backpack and he went onto the classroom and never looked back...Was in absolute AWE...With all the kids and all the things to do...I watched through the window and he did not know what to do first..Paint ...Play with trucks...Play with the kids....lol...I picked him up at 4 and they said he did really good no tears all day....(None for Mom either..I did really good...lol)..He did not eat very much at lunch but he is VERY picky..But in time he will hopefully see the other kids eating and he will follow suit...He brought home his painting and was so proud of his picture...He is tired tonight and will be ready for bed...lol...So it was a good day....He is going to be going three days a week....It is good for his speech and social skills...Another stage of life for us...Exciting in a way but also that they are growing too fast!!!!...Well that's all new in the North for today....Hope you are all well and until next time....

Our first long weekend of the summer.....

Good Afternoon all...Hope you all had a nice long weekend and are still enjoying the holiday Monday off....It was a great weekend here..Not the weather but the company was great...!!!.We had a really nice visit with Wills sister Janet and her hubby Wim and their 4 kiddies....Kaitlyn, Josh, Ryan and Jordan...They have their trailer here so they camped out there...It was a rainy weekend and even some some flurries this morning....Brrrrr...We had the furnace on last night...We also had our soon to be Pastor and his wife stay with us Saturday evening...They also have 4 children about the same ages as all the others...So they had lots of fun playing together...Jordan and Jesse were in the basement playing and decided to open the patio door to go outside and were just having a hoot running around in YES....lol..Their sock feet in all the puddles...lol..Well Janet and I just had to laugh....BOYS...lol..But they had lots of fun...We also had a friend of ours Richard and his friend Andrew stop by for a visit they were fishing over on Lake Nosbonsing ..We had a fire cracker show Saturday night ..Thanks to Jacob Weisz....Him and his Mom and Dad joined us for supper and he had bought some fire crackers...So the kids just loved watching all the bright colours...So yes we had a fun filled weekend of visiting and eating and eating...lol...Some how that just seems to go with holidays....lol..Oh.well..Hopefully the weather warms up soon...Well that's all for now folks....Have a great rest of the day off...And until next time....

Beautiful day today..

Good Evening all...It was an absolute beautiful day here...About 22 degrees today...We were outside all day...The boys had so much fun playing and riding on their toys and digging in the sand...The black flies are out but not biting too much yet...YET is the key word...They look a little bigger this year...Better watch out they will take bigger chunks...lol..Both of the boys and Momma have bug nets...Daddy is not really bothered by them...Well I posted a few pics of the boys....

Good evening all....Hope you are all well this fine evening...It was about +18 here today a little almost muggy...The black flies are out and about...Not biting too much yet but definitely swarming....They will be biting soon ....Pesky little things...lol...Will and Jesse went fishing tonight for sucker fish with our friends from church Nandor and Jacob...They run for a few weeks in the creeks..You just use a net right about dusk and you can catch hundreds....So Jesse had rubber pants, boots and his bug jacket on and smiling from ear to ear ....Going fishing with Daddy, he LOVES it...So its just me and Owie this evening...he has the bath tub all to himself ..That is a treat...Well I hope all you ladies reading had a wonderful Mothers day....I most certainly did with my three men.....We are in for a fun weekend...We have Jan and Wim and kiddies coming to join us for the weekend and our Pastor and wife and kiddies are also staying here for a few days....Looking forward to visiting with everyone...Hopefully the weather is good....Well that's about all new in the North for today....Until next time...

Birthday Wishes

Good Morning all.....It is about +2 here and going to be a nice sunshiny day....We have had a day of rain yesterday and now some sunshine in the forecast....Not too warm about 14 or so....But we will take it....Want to wish my FANTASTIC sister in law Janet....A WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY....Hope you have a great day and hugs from us all....Also wishing a good friend from our church Barb...A WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY ....Have a great day....!!!!! Well my hubby is currently building a new chicken coup..We have 40 chicks ordered for the beginning of June and 4 turkeys...I had better finish off the few left in the freezer...!!...Not too many actually we did eat quite a few...Along with the venison and fish we have ( Mommas most favourite....:(...lol..)...We have enough meat around here for a year...lol..With my hubby being an avid hunter and fisherman I have no choice but to learn to like these things..I did cook a nice venison roast when we had family here and do have to admit it was good...Just have to get it through my head its OK...lol...Well we all had a bit of a head cold the past two weeks but are all on the mend..Hopefully that's it for sickness for a while...!!!...Want to wish the Tuiningas a very safe journey home with their two newest additions...They been in Africa for the past month adopting two beautiful children...It has been a long journey but they are finally on the home stretch...Praying for you all for safe travels and to be reunited with your children at home....Hugs from Ontario...Well that's all for now folks....Have a great day..........

Nice Sunshiny Day...

Good Afternoon all....It is a very nice +16 here today ...The wind is a little cool but still very nice....We had a very nice weekend this past weekend visiting in Southern Ontario...It is always a busy time but so nice to see everyone...Thanks to Jerry and Deb for their wonderful hospitality ...We are hoping to get some well needed outside work done this week...We hope to be planting some grass seed ..Yeah grass...Although my boys LOVE their big sandbox out front...Mommy has to disagree...lol..We hope to put some gravel down and cover the sand...Always something to do...We did have to get the fire going and furnace on when we got home yesterday ...It was really windy and the house was quite chilly...Still going down to about 3 degrees at night...Well hopefully we have no more snow and Spring is here to stay...We are hoping to do a garden this year..Not like our first year hopefully...We could not see the veggies for the weeds...lol..Mommas job of weeding got the best of me...So we are going to try again..I would like to do some pickles and make some relish...I have a delicious recipe from my good friend Heather ...I would also like to try and pickle beets...A favourite in this house...And maybe try some tomatoes and potatoes...We will see..I think we are going to plant a bit later so the veggies are ready in September...We will see...Well that's about all new with us for now...Have a great day and we will talk to you all real soon....Until next time...
