Good Evening all...It is a crisp here in the north...It was a sunny but cold day..Temperatures are around -10 during the day and a bit colder at night....Well we are definitely thoroughly enjoying our little girl...She is so sweet...I took some photos of her tonight and thought I would share ....

Good Morning all...It sure has been a VERY LONG TIME...Lots has been happening here in the North....Well we had hunting season and my hubby got his deer....He got it the very first day of the season....So we have sausage and lots of meat in the freezer for the winter...!!...Next is ice fishing...Which is not too far off.... Our other big news is the birth of our daughter...Naomi Marie...She was born on December 1 and weighed 8 lbs 4 Oz's....What a true blessing ...She is awesome...So snugly ...We are so thankful to God for her safe arrival...It is so neat to have a little girl..Can not wait to dress her in some feminine things and shop for her....We are all doing well and enjoying having a baby in the house again...Her big brothers are very excited ..They are coming home full time ( my sister and hubby have been helping out with them)..this Friday...Can not wait to be all together... Winter has officially arrived...We had a little bit maybe 2-4 inches on the ground prior to yesterday..But a big storm came through and we now have about a foot...lol...So the kids will be very excited to go tobogganing ...Jesse has been asking for a while....:)...Well hope that all is well with you all and will definitely try and post more often.....Until next time....

Our annual bbq and the weather....

Good Morning all....It is a little cool here the past few nights...About 10 degrees....Feels like fall weather already....The weekend for the bbq was just beautiful....We had such a great time and the weather was awesome....No rain...!!....Well a little sprinkle but that hardly counts especially since last year we had a major thunder storm in about time for supper....So needless to say it was a great weekend with family and friends...Thank you to all who came and helped out....I was very glad this past weekend was not our bbq as it was only about 15 degrees and rained all weekend...We all ended up having head colds....The boys played outside Sunday night for a few hours after it had finally stopped raining and I had fleece sweaters on them and hats...Like winter hats....!!!....It has warmed up a little since then.....This week is supposed to be beautiful..Back to some warmer weather ...but the cool nights are definitely here to stay....Here a are some pics...Last weekend Owen with his cousins Scott and Lauren....Just getting ready to go to the lake for a swim....

Welcome Arianna Grace Janssen

Good Day all....Yes two posts in one day....A record...But so much to tell....We are so excited to welcome Arianna Grace Janssen...John and Beth were blessed with a healthy baby girl on August 4th....She weighed 7 lbs 6 ozs and Mom and baby are doing great....She is a real sweetie....How fun to have a little girl ...It was very fun to go shopping and buy some pink for a change...I am always in the boy section for my guys....lol...Here are a few pictures of their sweet little one...

Boys Birthday

Good Morning all...How are y'all doing?...Its a sunny clear day here in the north....We have had a lot of rain and a lot of cooler weather lately...But a few sunny days in between....Looks like one of those today....Well we have been busy here ...Some company and lots of work on the house...And always the garden to do and weeds to pull...That's summer...!!...We recently celebrated Jesse and Owens birthday..Jesse turned 5 and Owen turned 3...We had a little party with Aunt Colleen, Uncle Mitch and Aunt Debbie...We had a Thomas the train theme...And a rainbow cake...At Jesse's request...Owen had wanted green cupcakes and we had those closer to his birthday when our cousins were visiting...Here are a few pics from the party....

Good Evening all...Hope that you are all doing well....It was a sunny/cloudy day here in the north and a bit of rain...And only 15 degrees....BRRRR...But it is supposed to warm up....We just had a very nice week with our family here...Wills sister Janet and hubby Wim and Kiddies (Kaitlyn, Josh, Ryan and Jordan)..It rained just about every day but we had a great time anyways...We were able to actually take the kids to the lake a few times and go to Canada day fireworks....The boys all went fishing a few times and caught a few fish....It was a really nice week...One particular day it had just rained, well actually poured...And the boys were playing near this very large puddle of water ...Well eventually they were swimming in the water...And covered in MUD...!!!...It was a sight to see....lol Here are a few pictures of the kids at play...

Here are the boys when they are still sort of clean ..... Driving their cars and boats in the mud has begun.......Feet in too......lol Then well cousin Ryan went for a dip along with Jesse and Owen.... And then well it was fun filled times in the mud.....lol..They were covered... Cousin Josh decided that the sand was a little cleaner......lol...And cousin Kaitlyn was the cleanest and the only girl....But I think she had something to do with her brother being buried in the sand....lol...So needless to say the kids had a blast and well the Moms had lots of laundry ...But great memories were made...Looking forward to some more company this weekend..Wills brother Andrew, his wife Cheryl and kiddies Scott and Lauren are coming for the weekend....More cousins for the boys to play with....They are very excited....Well hope that you all have a terrific week and until next time....

Nice hot summer weather finally....

Good Morning all....How ya'all doing?...We are good here in the north....Have been enjoying some nice hot summer weather this past week.....Considering about three weeks ago we had 3-4 inches of snow..The heat is very welcome...We did not really have Spring ...No time to adjust to the heat....But I will take that, over zero degree weather....That is for sure...!!...well we have been busy with yard work and planting our vegetable garden...It is all planted other than a row or two of potatoes which I think is going in today...I did a perennial garden around a big ol stump that we brought here from our old house...Our nice brother in law Wim brought that all the way up here for us ..Thanks Wim...It looks nice now that its finally part of a garden...:)..Jesse is almost done school for the summer..he has a regular day Monday and then Wednesday is his last day and they go for a trip to the waterfront in North Bay...There is a big park there and two carousel's and a train ride....He will have so much fun!!...We have been there as a family and they just loved it...!!...We are expecting Wim and Jan and family here the next week for a visit ..We are looking SO forward to that...!!!!!!...That week as well we are having a baby shower for Beth....She has about 6 weeks left until her due date....Looking forward to meeting that Janssen baby!!!!!......I just LOVE baby showers..And I love to shop for baby stuff....They have such neat stuff out now...So never a dull moment here ...Always something happening...lol...Its supposed to get really hot and humid here this week...So we might be making our first trip to the lake ....The boys just love it....Playing around in the water..For hours literally...:)....Well had better go but take care until next time...

Good Evening all ...It has been waaayyy toooo looonnngg.....Well whats new here in the North....No more snow....That sure is a good thing..We actually had a very beautiful high of 19 and supposed to get warmer as the weekend approaches...But with that also comes black flies...So by the time Wim and Janet come here for their visit ....The flies should be all gone...Hopefully...!!!!!...Well we have been doing some gardening and weeding.....Will planted the vegetable garden .. A few more rows and we should be done....Our outside is under some construction..But really what else is new around here...lol...We are hoping to have some decks back on our house in the very near future...That will be very nice...We just had a well drilled...Its so nice to have clean drinking water and lots of it....!...You do not realize how much you appreciate being able to turn on the tap, when you are out of water for a while...One of the things we take for granted.....Well I have two little boys who are going to be celebrating birthdays in the next month or so....Jesse is turning 5 and Owen is going to be 3...They are getting so big...!!...Jesse would like a rainbow cake and Owen would like a green cake...So I guess I must get creative...:))..Should be fun!..Well that's about all new here in the north...I gave my youngest son a haircut a few weeks ago ...And well he had quite a bit of hair to boot...And I BUZZED him...Well it was a shock initially but now I love it ...He just looks so cute...Here's a pic of him and his big bro who also gets a buzz cut from Momma.....Well until next time....

Lotsa snow here in the North....

Hi all....How are ya all doing...It sure has been a while....We have had lots happening lately....Just this weekend we had about a foot of snow and another 6-8 inches today and its still snowing. Definitely not Spring conditions here yet....lol...As you can see....

Yes we had a fairly nice winter ...Had company coming and going....Ice fishing....Here's some of my hubbies catches over the ice fishing season....

As you can see from the large grin on my husbands face this is one of is very favourite hobbies.....He is a very dedicated ice fisherman.....I do like my bouts of fishing as well...Mostly when its not quite as cold and when the fish are biting...lol... We went for a trip to southern Ontario a few weeks ago and we stayed with Wim and Janet and family....Thanks again for the hospitality..!!!...We had a very nice time visiting family and friends...We then took the kids for an overnight to the Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls...It was soooo nice....We had such a great time..It is set up like a true lodge....Log cosy feeling!!!..It had a huge indoor water park which my hubby and oldest son....LOVED!!!!.....Owie was not quite as daring as Jesse so we hung out in the kiddie pool but Daddy and Jesse did all the BIG water slides...The had a blast....Here are a few pics from our great family getaway....

A precious baby girl....!!!

Good day all...We want to welcome Juliet True Deboer born this morning, weighing 8 lbs 15 ozs...!!!! ...Our good friends Nancy and Brads 5th child..Wishing you many blessings as you raise your precious little one....Can not wait to meet her...!!!!..Well we are in a cold spell here ...Has been cool and in the -20s at night and still in the cooler double digits with a wind chill during the day....But its supposed to get warmer and snow the end of the week....So cold or snow...Which one is better...I think Spring is the answer....lol...Not for a while....Wanted to also wish our nephew Kurtis a very Happy 2nd Birthday....Best Wishes buddy!!...Well we are all ok here....Just have had a bug in the house for a few weeks...Everyone is slowly getting better ..But it has been a bad one...And just seems to be lingering....My 2 and a half year old Owen has had a bad head cold for the past week..He has had an obsession with Kleenex...We used to have to chase him around to wipe his nose and he would just wipe it on his sleeve...Well now he comes with a Kleenex every five minutes to get his nose wiped...lol..And I think I have gone through two boxes of Kleenex in two days.......lol..How they change so quickly.......!!!!!..Well hopefully we are on the mend soon...Hope you are all doing well and until next time...

Bright and sunny Monday to you ....

Good Day all....How are you all on this bright fine and dandy day...:)) We are good here in the north..It is bright and sunny but actually quite cold..About -14 and a wind chill...So nice to be inside looking out..:0)..Well I just booked a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls....We are going to Southern Ontario the end of March to visit family and then are going to Niagara Falls for a night ....It is supposed to be great for kids and has a huge indoor water park...So looking forward to that...We were out ice fishing on Saturday and I was again skunked...My hubby caught a few perch..But not too much action...The kids just love going...They don't really fish they just love the 4 wheeler ride and playing around with the toboggans and toys...:)..We were struck with flu's and colds here the past week...Jesse had it the worst and Daddy had it too but not as bad....Owen and I some how have avoided the germs....So far so good anyways...Well hope that you are all having a Great day and until next time..

Fun Times Fishing with the family on family day!!!!!

Hi there all...Hope you all had a GREAT family day weekend....We sure did...Wills sister and hubby and kiddies were here for the long weekend...It was a beautiful sunny warm and balmy weekend...lol...Well not quite balmy but sunny...The kids had a great time fishing and we all went out Saturday and had a hot dog and marshmallow roast out on the lake ...We had a very nice visit and nice family time...We are in for a snowstorm here starting tonight ...Lasting until Thursday...Two weeks ago we had such mild weather a lot of the snow melted...But I guess we are in for some more...Hard to believe we are already half way through February...Spring is just around the corner...lol...Well it seems to take a little longer for it to feel like Spring here....First the snow has to melt and we usually have lots of MUD!!!...Then it gets a bit nicer and milder and then the black flies come ....Then we have summer.....For about a month...lol...No but some times it seems that way...When we moved here the locals said that we have July and winter....I am starting to believe them.....lol..I will be glad to be over the sickness part that comes with winter...We have had our fair share of colds and flu in this house lately...But I guess that's just part of the seasons....Well hope all is well and until next time....

Ice fishing

Well Hello all...it has been a while..Well not too much new here in the north...We have been keeping warm...Had some very cold weather a few weeks ago...The buses were cancelled here three days in a row...It was VERY cold...But we are having some milder weather now which is nice...Will was fishing on Saturday with our friends John and Josiah...They had a great night and caught this guy...

This is about a 3-4 lb walleye..... Needless to say they caught some nice ones ...That's what we do here in the winter....ICE FISH....Well actually I have not even been out this year yet ...Which is really odd...It just has been really cold..Too cold for the kids and when it was not cold someone has been sick or just did not work out...But we do hope to go fishing with Daddy today...The kids and I ...Its supposed to be +7 and drizzly..We are actually in for some freezing rain today as well....Some mild temperatures for a few days ...This weekend we hope to have a fun filled family weekend of fishing!!!! Wim and Janet and kiddies are coming up for the family day long weekend...So we look very forward to that!!!....Well folks that's about all for now....Until next time....

Happy New Year ...A little late but better late than never...

Good Day all ....It sure has been a while....I have been slacking....Well a very happy new year to you all...We had a very nice New Years..We had friends visiting...Our good friends Laura and Richard and Carolyn Boek...Was a very nice visit...We went to John and Beth for the evening ...The fellows did some ice fishing and caught a few perch...No big pickerel yet this year for anyone....Will is fishing today with friends of ours from church....It is finally a little warmer...We had been in a deep freeze for about 3 days...-38 degrees was the coldest..The cars did not start that morning...The school buses were cancelled for three days in a row...Kids were lovin that....lol...But yes it still is a little cold and the wind is cool today but we are in for some much milder weather next week....-3 a couple days...That will feel balmy...lol...So not much new here in the north...Just trying to keep warm and really just been having some down time after the busy holidays....We have a new nephew ...He was born to Rick and Carolyn ( Wills younger brother) his name is Silas and weighed 7pounds 11 ounces...The boys in the Dehaans are very dominant...Out of 14 grandchildren there is 11 boys 3 girls....The name will definitely carry on through the generations...lol...Well hope you are all well and until next time...
