Remembering a special friend.....

Good evening all...Well I was hoping this day never came...Last Sunday the Lord took home my dear friend Miriam....For over three years she had cancer....Which began in her ovaries but was later diagnosed as a deadly rare aggressive cancer that the doctors knew little about...She went through surgeries, chemo, radiation and more chemo but the cancer kept growing...This past November the doctors could no longer do anything more for her....It was just time...But she never lost sight of her purpose here and looked forward to heaven with a heart exploding with love for the Lord....She had such a beautiful, kind, loving spirit....She was a true joy to be around...She had a true love for the Lord and through all her suffering, she openly accepted that this was God's plan for her life..Her desire was that God be glorified for all things.... In her last days she was in pain and her husband asked her what he could do and she asked him to sing her to heaven..So for three nights before she passed they joined family on Skye from all over Canada and the US and they sang hymns together...Miriam loved to sing and loved music...At her funeral we sang all her favourite hymns...I think everyone sang with such joyful, loud, loving voices ..In my heart it felt Miriam was there with us singing these beautiful praises to the Lord...It was overwhelming and a wonderful celebration of Miriam's life... She will be sadly missed by many who are left behind...Her dear husband Nandor, 3 beautiful children Rebekah, Jessica and Jakob..A wonderful family and extended family and many, many friends...She has truly touched so many people through this journey, some that we may never even know but her love for the Lord always shined through and that's what inspired people and drew people to her...It was a long journey but it is finally over and she is pain free and perfect in heaven singing with Jesus...What a beautiful picture that is....

Dearest Tara,
What a truly beautiful woman Miriam was... as was stated at her funeral what a woman of faith. I treasure the memories I have of her, her beautiful smile, her love, her trust, and her exemplary walk. How I've thanked God for the special friend He gave you in Miriam. I marvel at God's providences and plans... contemplating that Miriam's impact on even my life was all part of His plan in your family moving North (truly amazing isn't it!) While I truly do rejoice at Miriam's gain at being in the presence of her Redeemer and heavenly Father, my heart sorrows for her family and loved ones including you Tara. Please know that our love, thoughts and prayers are with all of you, praying that God would bring comfort as only He can do.
With much love and many hugs,
Deb
